"Kartala" is the southernmost quarter in Veliko Tarnovo town. It’s situated on its highest point, where there’s wonderful view to the town and the Balkan Mountains. The neighbourhood is quiet and calm and is very near to pine wood and well-tended park. There’s a newly-built housing estate in the vicinity of the quarter, in very communicative area with regular transport services.
The building in the quarter is mainly brick, which is consisted of block of flats basically (most of which are more than four floors).
There are stores, supermarket, petrol station, park, pine wood with eco-paths, kindergarten, and regular transport , which turn the neighbourhood into a very attractive place for living. This is the reason why “Kartala” is preferred by many investors for constructing new buildings.
The ancient fortress “Kartala” is only 1 km northeast of the quarter. There’s a touristic route, that leads to “Zelenka” district and to the town itself. The route is preferred by many people, because of the beautiful nature around, the caves, known as “Kauchovi dupki” and the little falls, which are in the immediate proximity of the quarter.
“Kartala” is very communicative quarter, due to the urban transport and its connections with the main boulevard “Bulgaria” and “Belyakovsko shoes” Street.
