"Kolyu Ficheto" is the westernmost quarter of Veliko Tarnovo town. It’s one of the most developed and communicative neighbours in the town. The biggest supermarkets and trade centers are situated there and it’s very preferred place for investment.
This is the only quarter that is distinguished with entirely brick building. But many new blocks of flats and housing estates are being built during the past years, which change the face of the neighbourhood.
National Military University “Vasil Levski”, the Medicine College, two schools – High School “Emilian Stanev” and Professional Electronic High School “A. S. Popov”, two day nurseries, a child care center and a park. Not far from the quarter is situated the Sports Centre “Ivaylo”, where there’s a stadium.
The Palace of Culture and Sports “Vasil Levski” is there, too.
The inhabitants and the tourists of the town may visit the first Mall outside Sofia – CENTRALL MALL in their leisure time. Nearby is “Evropa” – closed housing estate with stylish and original architecture. It’s near the Ecological Park, which makes it very privileged. The administrative center is very close, as well. The modern architecture and its closeness to the main thoroughfares of the city make it a desirable place for investment.
The building of trade and office area, as well as underground parking lot is expected very soon.
There are big supermarkets in the quarter like METRO, Piccadilly and Naroden Magazin. There’re also offices of Bulsatcom (Digital TV provider) and TelNet (Internet provider).
The quarter is in very communicative place, near two main boulevards – Bylgaria and Nikola Gabrovsky. On its lower part is the main road Sofia - Varna.
