"Buzludzha" is a quarter in Veliko Tarnovo. There are about 67 panel and 27 brick blocks of flats; where about 30 000 people live. The previous name of the quarter is “Pishmana”.
It’s in the southwestern part of Veliko Tarnovo, in the proximity of the industrial estate of the town.
The buildings in Buzludzha quarter are mainly panel and high-rise blocks of flats. The panel blocks in the housing estate have been built from the first half of 70-s until the middle 90-s of 20th c.
The building of new blocks starts in 2005. It’s concentrated mainly on the fore part of the quarter.
There are two schools, one of which is Primary school “Vela Blagoeva” and the other – “G. S. Rakovski” Sports School. The day nursery looks after children up to 6 years. There’s also a home for elderly persons in the quarter.
Communications of the neighbourhood with the central part of the town are very good. From and to Buzludzha people can use autobuses No 13, 20, 30, 50, 70.
There’s a park on the territory of the quarter and three big supermarkets – BILLA, T-market and CBA.
