The broad straight streets, parks and school as well as the well-developed and maintained road infrastructure make it one of the most luxurious districts of Burgas.
Residential buildings located there are used for seasonal occupation and during the whole year. Around 3000 people live in it, among them many foreigners. The district is constantly expanding in the direction of the Military Station and Kusheto (future quarter of Burgas).
Commercial areas in the neighborhood are very well developed. Shops for groceries, household goods, clothing, and 35 restaurants and cafés attract both Bulgarian and foreign tourists.
The wide sandy beach, the absence of industrial objects, fine sand and long summers make Sarafovo in a favorable place to rest even in October because the water is still warm and suitable for bathing.
Only 3 km from Sarafovo is located a nature reserve Atanassovsko Lake, where live more than 230 species of plants listed in the Red Book of Bulgaria and over 316 species of birds. The reserve is also called avian paradise and it is a great interest to researchers, bird lovers and photographers. In the vicinity of the Atanassovo lake are set many marshes and channels.
The residential complex has regular transport during the workdays and on weekends. Bus number 15 connects Sarafovo with the other districts of Burgas, and departs from bus station South. Every half an hour tourists can take buses to the town of Primorsko, the ancient Nesebar, the biggest Bulgarian resort Sunny Beach, Kiten and the sea capital Varna.
