Bohova is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Tran municipality, Pernik region.

It is 21 km southwest of the town of Tran, 6 km southeast of the village of Slishovtsi and 67 km northwest of the town of Pernik. The Serbian border and border checkpoint Strezimirovtsi are 7 km northwest. The capital Sofia is 92 km east.

It is situated in mountain region and its altitude is about 951 m. The climate is with four clearly expressed seasons - warm but not hot summer, while the winter is cold. The spring is cool with lots of precipitation and it comes in the end of March and the beginning of April. The fall is considerably warm.

The permanent population is about 46 people.

The nearest GPs, dentists, hospital, kindergarten and school are working in the municipality the town of Tran.

Tourism and landmarks

The village is located at the foot of the historical peak Yanicheva chuka. The nature is well preserved and also there are many beech forests as well as many pine trees that give nice cool and fresh air.

There were found remains of Thracian settlement and also you can see the ruins of St Bogoroditsa monastery.

The climate conditions and mountain terrain allow the development of bee keeping, raspberries collecting, herbs and mushrooms collecting.

This geographical region is characterized by very specific ethnographic elements as folk costumes - litak and also one of the most popular musical instrument the okarina.

A few kilometers away flows the river of Erma that is full of trout. The people that enjoy fishing can take advantage of the great conditions near Yarlovtsi dam (12 km).
