Vehtino is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Madan Municipality, Smolyan region.

Situated 21 km northeast from the town of Madan, 37 km southeast from the town of Smolyan, 18 km southwest from the town of Ardino and 275 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
There is bus service to neighboring cities.

Located at 690 m altitude. The climate is continental. Winter is mild and long, summer is cool.

The permanent population is 90 people.

The village has a town hall, shop, mobile phone coverage. The nearest kindergarten, school and hospital are in the city of Madan.

Tourism and Sightseeing

In the town of Smolyan guests of the village can visit: the Historical Museum, Planetarium, Rhodope Drama Theatre, "St. Vissarion of Smolyan", Monument of Orpheus and Eurydice, Observatory Rozhen.

In the town of Madan are located the following attractions:

Cave Museum "Sharenka". This is the first cave museum in Bulgaria.
The area "Gabata" - rock with a small cave in which were found pieces of pottery from different periods.
The area "Kichikaya" - Proto-Bulgarian fortress. There are old stone walls of buildings and fortress walls. The well dug nine meters down the cliff is completely preserved.
