Starnitsa is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Banite Municipality, Smolyan region.

It is about 21 km northwest away from the village of Banite, 68 km northeast from the city of Smolyan and 230 km southeast from the capital city Sofia.

Village of Starnitsa is situated in a mountain area, at 1075 m altitude. The population is only 320 inhabitants.

The climate is temperate continental with a Mediterranean influence. Summer is moderately hot and winters are relatively mild.

There is a community center in the village. The nearest schools and hospitals are in the village of Banite.

Pure nature, rich flora and fauna, mild climate are prerequisites for development of rural tourism.

Guests of the village can stay in some of the family hotels and guest houses in the village of Banite, where they can enjoy all the attractions, the most important of which is the curative mineral water and spa treatment that this village offers.
