Hvoyna is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Chepelare Municipality, Smolyan region.

Hvoyna is 20 km north from the town of Chepelare, about 31 km away in the same direction from the mountain resort Pamporovo, 47 km north from the city of Smolyan and 199 km southeast from the capital city of Sofia. There is a regular bus transport from and to Plovdiv, Chepelare and Smolyan.

Village of Hvoyna is situated at the main road Plovdiv-Smolyan, in one of the widest and most beautiful valleys in the Middle Rhodopes. The altitude is 695 m. The permanent population is about 466 inhabitants.

Climate in the region is temperate continental, characterized by hot summers, cold winters and small amounts of rainfall.
The village is located on the left bank of the river Oreshica - where the river empties into Chepelarska. The houses are small and friendly, the center has a nice and neat square.
Hvoyna is well developed village - with restaurants, post office, kindergarten, school, gas station, pharmacy. The nearest general hospital in the district town of Smolyan.
Hotels and rest houses offer convenience and comfort for the tourists while enjoying the beauties of the Rhodope Mountains.

The village is an excellent starting point for many tourist routes leading south to Rozhen, Momchilovtsi, Smolyan, Pamporovo, Shiroka Luka and Chudnite mostove (Wonderful Bridges).
