Bukova polyana is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Madan Municipality, Smolyan region.

Situated 11 km northeast from the town of Madan, 35 km southeast from the town of Smolyan, 25 km southwest from the town of Ardino and 266 km southeast from the city of Sofia.
There is bus service to neighboring cities.

Located 810 meters above sea level. The climate is moderate-continental. The winter is long but mild with heavy snowfalls. Summer is cool.

With a permanent population of 420 people, the village is the third largest in Madan Municipality. The main occupation is agriculture.

Here there is a town hall, kindergarten and elementary school. There is cable TV, Internet and mobile phone coverage. In the area "Hvoina" there is an agricultural airport. Available to the residents is a general practitioner. The nearest hospital in the town of Madan.

The dam and the Arda River which flow near the village create excellent conditions for fishing and recreation.
1 km from Bukova polyana is situated an old Roman bridge.

In the town of Ardino you can visit the following sites:

 "Devil's Bridge" on the Arda River, built on a picturesque narrow gorge in the Ottoman period. Through it passed the road linking Plovdiv region, with the passage Makaza with the Aegean.
Thracian sanctuary "Eagle Rocks" / 27 km / near the town of Ardino.
Thracian fortress "Kale" - announced a historic place by the Ministry of Environment in 2003. It is 500 meters from the "Eagle Rocks".

In the town of Smolyan guests of the village can see: Museum of History, Planetarium, Rhodope Drama Theatre, "St. Vissarion of Smolyan", Monument of Orpheus and Eurydice, Observatory Rozhen.
