Umarevtsi village is located in the municipality of Lovech, Lovech region.
6 km north-east of Lovech, 30 km south-east of Pleven and about 160 km from Sofia. The main road Lovech - Pleven passes near by.
The village is situated on the banks of the Osam River, at 124 meters altitude. The climate is characterized by relatively warm summers, while winters are cold.
The population is about 380 inhabitants. Several foreign families have properties in the village.
Umarevtsi has a municipality buildingl, community center, several shops and restaurants. All mobile operators have coverage, internet and cable TV are available. Regular bus and train transport links it to Lovech and country. Medical care is covered by a general practitioner, and the nearest hospital is located in the municipal center. Its inhabitants use the kindergartens and schools in Lovech.
About 12 km north-east is situated the village of Devetaki where tourists can visit one of the largest caves in the country Devetashka.
Another interesting landmark in the area is a natural landmark Maarata in the village Krushuna. It includes a huge rock, river Maarata, water forming phenomenal karst waterfall 15 meters.
