Mramor is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is located in Sofia District in the capital municipality.
The village is situated in the north-western part of Sofia field. It is set in the old river terrace of Blato River. Mramor is just 2 km away from Sofia Ring Road. On the north it borders with the villages of Dobroslavtsi and Zhiten. Village of Mirovyane is on the east and village of Voluyak is on the west. Obelya, Obelya 2 and Vrabnitsa quarters are on the south. Trebich and Iliyantsi quarters are on the south-east.
Tsarna Bara /Barata/ passes on the south from the village. Gigevitsa land is at its valley. Tsarna Bara has many tributaries and is with big catchments area.
Mramor Dam has beautiful delta inhabited by 175 bird species - 43 of them are rare and extinct. Mramor Dam is one of the most important place on the migratory road of Via Aristotle.
The terrain is plain and the soil is mainly fertile humus.
The dam is very popular and attracts many fishermen from Sofia city. The Balkans Mountains is the perfect place for walks, picnics, etc.
The village comprises a mayor hall, a school /175 'Vasil Levski'/, a community centre, a food store, a post office, a temple and a kindergarten.
The village is with convenient transportation links. It is in close proximity to the main roads Lomsko shosse Blvd and the Ring Road.
