Gorsko novo selo is a village in Northern Bulgaria, part of municipality Zlataritsa, Veliko Tarnovo Region.
It is 30 km east direction from the town of Veliko Tarnovo, 6 km northeastern direction from the town of Zlatitsa and 24 km northeastern direction from the town of Elena.
The population is about 500 inhabitants.
The terrain is plain with average altitude of 110m.
The climate is characterized with hot summer and cold winter.
Gorsko novo selo has well-developed infrastructure that includes electricity, water and parly sewerage installations, telephone lines, internet and cable TV.
Regular bus transport connects it with the towns – Veliko Tarnovo, Zlataritsa, Elena as well as the neighbor villages.
There is a secondary school, kindergarten, community center, church and a mosque.
A general practitioner serves the needs of the inhabitants.
There are shops and cafes.
The wine production is developing with help of European subsidies.
A medieval church has been found in the land of the village.
In Gorsko novo selo there is a working family hotel built with help from SAPARD project.
Around 2 km away from the village there is a dam.
Several wine centers in the region that attract visitors.
The quick transport to the town of Veliko Tarnovo allows visits of Arbanassi that is included in the list of UNESXO World Heritage. It impresses with its unique renaissance architecture of the houses and churches of XVI-XVII century and its museums that preserves the traditions and lifestyle of this region.
