Blaskovo is a village in North-east Bulgaria, part of Provadiya municipality, Varna region. It is located 67 km north-west to the city of Varna and 15 km south-west to the town of Provadiya.
The village lies in the heart of the famous Serta Plateau near the town of Provadiya. The relief is flat-hilly. The climate is temperate-continental and is characterised by a hot summer, warm autumn, a mild winter with plenty of snowfalls and a sunny spring. The population numbers to approximately 1 200 people. Altitude - 98 m.
The former name of Blaskovo used to be Salla (in Turkish "sallih" means clean, beautiful, good). Many Greek and Roman coins from Moesia and Thrace, fragments of pottery and ceramics, dated back to a period ranging from 4th century BC to 19th century AD bear record for the existence of a huge wine-market.

In the village there is a secondary school, a kindergarten, a community center with a library, a mayor's office, a post-office, food shops, a cafe. Electricity and supply are available on a regular bases. The roads are in a good condition. Near the settlement there are two dam-lakes - Snejina dam-lake in 5 km and Tzonevo dam-lake in 30 km. The local people are predominantly occupied in agriculture. Vine-growing and wine-making are the traditional occupations for the area. Sample of the soil in Blaskovo were provided to foreign experts and the results of the research have proven the soil is of finest quality and free of pollution and its parameters are similar to the ones in Burgundy, France.
Thanks to the wine-house and the agricultural co-operation in the village it has become a well-developed settlement. Currently the agricultural-co-operation cultivates 17 000 decars of wheat, rape-seed, barley and sun-flower. Ecologically clean wheat and rye were planted on an area of 500 decars.
