Enchets is a village situated in Southern Bulgaria. It is part of Kardzhali Municipality, Kardzhali region.

Enchets is set on the banks of Kardzhali Dam in the Eastern Rhodopes. It is about 5 km north-west from town of Kardzhali, 39 km north-east from town of Ardino, 92 km in the same direction from town of Smolyan, 82 km south-east from town of Asenovgrad and 48 km south-west from town of Haskovo.

Its population is approximately 310 people.

The climate is influenced by the Mediterranean Sea. Summer is sunny and hot - the maximum temperatures may reach 40 C. Winter is quite mild. The average winter temperature is about 0 C and the summer one is about 24 C. The sea altitude is approximately 238 m.

Enchets is in close proximity to the municipal and region centre - town of Kardzhali, and to the first-class road Haskovo-Kardzhali. The international transport corridor No 9 is envisaged to pass through the region.
Enchets is a holiday settlement for recreation and tourism. It is well-developed. Water and electricity are provided. Enchets comprises a town hall, a post office, health services, a comprehensive school, a kindergarten and a community centre. 

Tourism

Kardzhali Dam is the perfect place for recreation, sun-bathing and practicing water sports in the summer. There are many hotels, restaurants and villas constructed in close proximity. The dam is one of the biggest in the country. Interesting tourist attraction are the floating pontoons-restaurants offering rich fish menu. Tourists may try water bicycles, jets and water ski. Modern row base is located near the village. Fishing here is quite various. The waters of the dam are inhabited by brook trout, sturgeon, carp, amour, chub, perch, etc.

Interesting landmark in the region is the medieval complex of Perperikon, which is situated 20 km away from the village. Perperikon is archeological complex - big megalith sanctuary. It is supposed to be the famous in the ancient times sanctuary of god Dionysus of the Thracian tribe 'satri'. The complex is part of the 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria.
