Emona

Emona is a village situated in Nesebar municipality, Burgas region.
It is located about 26 km north of Nesebar, 54 km in the same direction from Burgas and the international airport in Sarafovo, about 14 km south of Obzor, approximately 10 km from Sunny Beach, about 79 km from Varna and about 450 km from Sofia.
A few kilometres away passes the main road Burgas-Varna.
Emona is situated near the beach, 108 meters above sea level. The climate is characterized by mild winters and precarious snow cover, and average monthly temperatures in January are around 3.2 ˚ C. Summer is warm with average temperatures in July around 22-24 ˚ C.
The permanent population of the village about 25 people.
There are a shop and several restaurants. Nearest kindergarten and school are located in Sveti Vlas. It is famous for its clean air, proximity to Irakli and the exclusive nature of the area.
SIGHTS:
At 1.5 km is located the Church of St. Nicholas, which was declared a cultural monument.
At about 2 km from Emona is Emine Cape. Here is located the fortress of Emona, whose ruins are now almost obliterated. There was built lighthouse, built in 1880. A magnificent view is revealed towards Nesebar.
In the land of the village is situated the protected area Irakli - the longest beach on the seaside. It is known as a camping place.
