Dolni Pasarel is a village in Pancharevo district, Sofia municipality, Sofia region.

It is 20 km south of Sofia, 30 km north of Samokov and 65 km northwest of the town of Kostenets.

It is situated in Lozenska mountain on the banks of Iskar river. Its altitude is 700 m.
The climate is characterized by warm summer and cold winter. The spring is also cool while the fall is warm and longer.

The permanent population is about 1270 people. In both the villa zones Pasarelsko ezero and Iskar dam people live year round. There is regular bus transportation from Mladost-1 quarter to the village - bus line №3.

In Dolni Pasarel there are stores, primary school, town hall, post office, kindergarten and medical clinic. The medical assistance is provided by a couple of GPs and one dentist. Specialized help you can get at the hospitals on the territory of Sofia.

One of the landmarks of Dolni Pasarel is one hundred year old white poplar situated in the center of the village. The monastery "St st Petar and Pavel" is just 4 km away and is founded in XV century.

The village is in proximity to the dams Iskar and Pasarel where there are good conditions for fishing and tourism.

You could also visit: Pancharevo lake, Kokalyanski monastery "St Archangel Michael" /20 km/ and Borovets resort /40 km/ that is the biggest resort in the country.
