Village of Borima

Borima is a village in the municipality of Troyan, Lovech region.

It is 14 km northwest of Troyan, 34 km southwest of Lovech and 140 km northeast of Sofia.

The village is situated at the foot of the Balkan Mountains, at an altitude of 448 m. The climate is characterized by warm summers and cold windy winters.

The population numbers about 900. There are daily buses connecting the village with Apriltsi, Troyan, Sofia and neighboring settlements.

There are a mayoralty, library, post office, shops and primary school in Borima. Medical care is covered by two GPs. Nearest kindergartens and hospitals are located in the town of Troyan. The village has a production base for telecommunications equipment, GSM networks and others.

Sightseeing:

In the village you can visit the church "St. Paraskeva" mosque and school, which was founded in 1884. About 5 km from the Borima is located dam Sopot, which offers excellent fishing conditions.

In the village Dalbok dol / 6 km / is set an ethnographic complex, which includes three houses, a waterfall and a barbecue. Here we offer both traditional Bulgarian dishes. There is a trail for ATV machines, which are held off-road racing.

25 km away is located Troyan monastery - the third largest and one of the most visited monasteries in Bulgaria.
