Stefan Karadla is a village in North-Eastern Bulgaria, part of Valchi Dol municipality, Varna region. It is located 60 km away from the city of Varna, 30 km away from the town of Dobrich and 20 km away from the municipal center of Valchi Dol.
The climate is temperate-continental, with distinct four seasons - a hot summer, a warm autumn, a cold winter with plenty of snowfalls and a sunny spring. The relief is mainly flat. Altitude - 275 m. Population - approximately 900 people.
The village of Stefan Karadja is one of the oldest villages in Bulgaria. Established in 1573 it had celebrated the 430th anniversary of its establishment in 2003. The former name of the village used to be Karadjot.
In the village there is a vocational high-school of agriculture and forestry, a secondary school, a community center, a kindergarten, a doctor's office, a post-office, a mayoralty, grocery shops, restaurant, cafe and a small park.
The village is supplied with water and electricity on a regular basis. The roads are in a good condition. Regular bus transportation connects the village to the city of Varna, the town of Valchi Dol and the nearby villages twice a day. The following modern communications are available - full coverage of all mobile operators, telephone exchange, satellite TV.
Located 3 km away from Neofit Rilski there is a dam-lake and a small river - wonderful places for fishing and relaxation among tranquillity, peacefulness and beautiful nature.
The locals are traditionally engaged into farming. Since territories surrounding the village are very fertile, the climate is favourable and no industrial productions are present in the area these are all excellent conditions for the production of ecologically clean natural foods.
