Dushintsi is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Breznik municipality, Pernik region.
It is 26 km southwest of the town of Breznik and 46 km northwest of Pernik. The capital Sofia is 71 km east.
It is located in mountain area at the foot of Golemi vrah peak (1481 m) which is the highest peak in the Erul mountain. The altitude of the village is 985 m. The climate is temperate with clearly expressed temperature inversions in the valleys as Selska valley, Divlyanska valley and Treklyanska reka valley.
The permanent population is about 28 people.
Hospital, dentists and pharmacies are working in the town of Breznik. There and in the village of Noevtsi are functioning schools and kindergartens. In the neighboring village Dolna Sekirna (9 km) there are shop, post office and hunting party as well as GP.
Tourism and landmarks
Northwest of the village in the middle of a hundred year old beech forest is the Manastir area. Today only the small church "St Troitsa" is preserved from the whole religious complex that existed there.
Just one kilometer from the village near Golemi vrah in the area Horoto could be seen remains of prehistorical and ancient fortress.
Landmarks that could be visited in the area are the Giginski monastery "St st Kozma and Damyan" and the church "St Nickolay Letni".
Bardoto area is famous for its "zhelyazna" mineral water which springs from the south part of the hill in Leskov dol area. The mineral spring attracts healthy and sick people from the ancient past for its healing characteristics which are due to the rich mineral chemical compounds and valuable physico-chemical and and physiological characteristics.
People who enjoy fishing could take advantage of the conditions which Breznishki Izvor (12 km) and Lilyantsi (12 km) dams offer.
