Petlino is a village in Southern Bulgaria. It is part of Kardzhali Municipality, Kardzhali Region.
It is located 4 km south-west of Kardzhali, 16 km north-west of Momchilgrad, 34 km east of Ardino and about 247 km south-east from Sofia.
Petlino is situated in the outskirts of Kardzhali at an altitude of about 345 m. The relief is hilly with beautiful panoramic views. The summer is warm and hot and the winter - soft and short.
The population is approximately 287 people.
The village is provided with electricity, water and communication equipment and has regular bus transport to Kardzhali. In the municipal center you will find several schools, kindergartens, a community centers, a post office, a police department. The nearest general hospital are also in Kardzhali.
At about 3 km of the village is situated a gated type of village with 9 one-family houses and a swimming pool inhabited mailny by Turkish and Dutch citizens.
Petlino is about 5 km away of Studen kladenets Dam and about 7 km away of Kardzhali Dam. In the summer they are preferred destination for recreation, sun-bathing and water sport practicing. There are many hotels, restaurants, villas and guest houses. Interesting are the floating pontoon-restaurants with rich fish menu.
