Vetrino is a village in North-Eastern Bulgaria, center of Vetrino municipality, Varna region. It is located 45 km to the city of Varna, only 25 min by car through Hemus highway.
The village is a municipality center and has a very well-organized infrastructure.
There is a regular public transportation to most towns and cities nearby (including Varna), sewerage, constant electricity and water-supply, internet, digital TV, a school, a community center with a library, a kindergarten, a doctor's office, a pensioners club, a home for the elderly, a few food shops, 3 cafes (one of which is held by an Englishman).
Vetrino is a n agricultural area. There is one dairy farm in the village. Well developed are the bee-keeping , the vine-growing and the wine-making. Near the village there is a dam-lake.
The environment is preserved unspoiled. No industrial pollution has been registered in the region.
In the area there is one protected area named Golyamata Kanara (the Big Rock) - it is a Karst canyon with total area of 33 hectars. Protected are the Karst canyon and the areas inhabited by the protected bird species - Long Legged Buzzard (Buteo Rufinus) and Egyptian Vulture (Neophron Percnopterus).
Well-preserved are a number of cultural-historical landmarks in the area St. Dimitar Church and monuments of soldiers died in the line of duty.
