Zvezdets is a village in the municipality of Malko Tarnovo, Burgas region.

It is 20 km northwest of the town of Malko Tarnovo, 54 km south of Burgas, 64 km west of the town of Tsarevo, about 410 km southeast of Sofia.

It is located in Strandzha Mountain, at an altitude of 350 m near passes Veleka river. The climate is characterized by mild winters, often with positive temperatures, while summer is hot and dry.

The population is about 400 people. It has bus transportation links with neighboring settlements, Malko Tarnovo and Burgas.

The village has a post office, kindergarten and shops. Nearest school is in the town of Malko Tarnovo. Medical care can be found in Tsarevo and Burgas.

The old name of Zvezdets is a "Gyoktepe" which in Turkish means "star tip".

Landmarks:

The village is part of the Natural Park "Strandja" - the largest protected area in the country;
Church "St. Athanasius" dates from the XIX century, but in 1903 it was burned. In its present form was built back in 1910;
12 houses have been declared cultural monuments;
2 km from the village chapel "St. Petka"
14 km southeast Petrova Niva is where in 1903. it was decided to support the uprising started in Macedonia. You have built a church, a monument and a permanent museum exhibition. The area is part of the hundred national tourist sites.
