Pomoshtnik is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Galabovo Municipality, Stara Zagora region.

It is nearly 33 km southeast from the town of Galabovo, about 37 km southwest from the town of Topolovgrad, nearly 74 km southeast from the city of Stara Zagora and 283 km southeast from the capital city of Sofia.
Every day there is a bus to / from the town of Harmanli and the town of Galabovo.

The village lies at the foot of Sakar Mountain. Topography of the area is hilly with altitude 280 meters. The permanent population numbered only about 320 inhabitants.

The climate is continental and is characterized by relatively mild winters and hot summers.

The village has a town hall and community center, three stores that sell everything, and coverage of all mobile operators. There is a health facility, but no permanent doctor. Nearest kindergartens, schools and hospitals are located in the town of Galabovo.

The main occupation of the population is growing tobacco, sunflower, cereals, grapes. There are several small dams and one large dam.

Pomoshtnik is one of the small villages in Bulgaria and provides conditions for rural and eco-tourism.
Low woodland and mountain scenery here makes this place an excellent destination for hunting.
Guests of the village can enjoy river Sazliyska which passes nearby and dam "Rozov kladenets" located near the town of Galabovo,  inhabited by many rare birds.
Also they can visit fortress "Balzena" located 2 km from the neighboring village of Glavan - Late antiquity fortress guarded the road to Constantinople.
