Village of Kirilovo

Kirilovo is a village in southern Bulgaria. It is located in Stara Zagora Municipality, Stara Zagora region.
There is one more village with the same name in Yambol region.
It is 11 km southwest from the city of Stara Zagora, about 90 km northeast from the city of Plovdiv and 220 km southeast from the capital city Sofia.
Regular bus transport connects it with the distrct city, there is also a free bus for the school kids.
The village is situated in the foots of Sredna gora mountain at 289 m altitude. The permanent population is about 760 inhabitants.
The climate is temperate continental, with short and mild winter and warm summer.
The village is well developed - it has tawn hall, post office, church "St. Kiril and Metodi", community center and private school. There is a cable TV, Internet access and coverage of all mobile operators. A general practitioner and one dentist are taking care of the health of the inhabitants. The nearest hospital is in the city of Stara Zagora.
In the village are operating several agricultural companies, carpentry workshop, a company producing plastic bottles, commercial stores.
Kirilovo attracts lovers of rural and eco-tourism, located nearby is river Sazliyska which allows its guests to enjoy fishing combined with recreation and picnics.
