Klenovik is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Radomir municipality, Pernik region.

It is 17 km south of the town of Radomir and 30 km in the same direction from the town of Pernik. The capital Sofia is 57 km northeast and the village of Izvor is 2 km northwest.

The village is located at the foot of Kolosh mountain and its altitude is 694 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized by cool summer and severe winter. The spring comes late and the fall is warmer than it.

Bus transportation connects it to the other settlements. There are constructed water and electricity systems.

The permanent population of Klenovik is about 281 people. The local people are mainly occupied in farming (growing of wheat and sunflower) and mining.

Here are functioning town hall, community center, shop and tavern. The nearest GP, dentist and school are in the neighboring village of Izvor. Specialized medical assistance you can get on the territory of Radomir where there also is kindergarten and in the town of Pernik.

Tourism and landmarks

It is interesting to see the natural landmark Yankovets near the village which is hundred year old oak forest and there also is found wild peony.

The mountain offers excellent conditions for tourism and excursions. Route for the hiking of Kolosh peak (1315 m) starts at the village of Izvor.

In the area there are a couple of dams - Izvor, Chokliovsko blato, Varba and Stefanovo. The latter offers great opportunities for fishing.
