Gyulyovtsa is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Nessebar municipality, Burgas Region.
The name comes from Turkish language "gyul" - rose or "gyol" - lake.
The village is situated at the foot of the Balkan Mountains. It is 17 km northwest of Sunny Beach resort, 21 km from Nessebar city- in the same direction, 38 km north of Bourgas and 407 km east of city of Sofia. The village is really close to "Poroy" lake.
The climate is temperate-continental. The suitable climatic conditions and high average annual temperature are factors that form the structure of the local economy- tourism, relaxation and sport.
Gyulyovtsa's population is mixed and has about 1,100 people.
The village has a primary school for students from first to eighth grade. A kindergarten is situated at the area of the school. There is also a place for old-age people and a library. The new town hall has а medical and a dental surgeries with a pharmacy next to them.
At the area of Nessebar municipality operate: а Medical Center in Sunny Beach resort, health services in Obzor (36 km northeast of Gyulyovtsa) and Ravda village (22 km southeast of the village) and a Health center for special medical care.
Gyulyovtsa offers accommodation in two hotels, "Byala ryaka", which is ethnographic complex and а home for the aged "Nezabravka".
The village is situated near the Black sea, a river and a lake.
A few kilometers away is "Siniyat vir" - a small and beautiful waterfall of the "Byala reka" river.
Тhere is a memorial to the fallen in the wars in the center of the village.
