Babinska reka is a village in West Bulgaria, part of Municipality Bobov dol, District of Kyustendil.

It stands about 40 km north-east of the town of Kyustendil and about 7 km south of the town of Bobov dol.

The population is about 110 residents.

The relief is flat and hilly, with altitude about 520 m.
The climate in the region is continental, characterized with moderately cold winters and warm and dry summers.

Babinska reka is with well-developed infrastructure, including partly asphalted and lighted streets, full electrification, water-supply system, telephones and coverage of mobile operators.

European route E 79 passes about 15 km away from the village, connecting the settlement  to the town of Dupnitsa and the capital of Sofia.

There is regular bus transport from and to the town of Bobov dol.

There is a town house and library in the village.

Medical service to the residents is provided by GP visiting the settlement. There are shops and restaurant.

The closest hospitals and schools are in the towns of Bobov dol and Dupnitsa.

Attractions

Dyakovo reservoir is about 15 km from the village. Free fishing is forbidden there, making it one of the few preserved and clean lakes.

About 30 km away is the town of Sapareva banya, known for its unique spas. The water there is among the hottest in Europe, with temperature of 103°C. The only geyser on the Balkans is in the center of the town.
