 Velichkovo is a village, located in Southern Bulgaria, part of Municipality of Pazardjik, District of Pazardjik.

It stands about 13 km south-west of the town of Pazardjik and about 12 km away from the town of Septemvri.

The residents of the village are 1030.

The relief is plain, with average altitude of 260 m.

The climate in the region is continental with four seasons. It is characterized with mild winters with average temperature of 0ºС and warm, dry summers with average temperature of 26ºС.

The infrastructure of the village includes partly asphalted and lighted streets, electrification, piping system, partial sewerage system, coverage of the mobile operators, telephones and cable TV.

Less than 5 km away from the village is the A1 motorway. For railway links there are the stations in Pazardjik and Septemvri.

Regular transport links Velichkovo with the town ofSeptember.

There is a town house, post office, school, kindergarten, football club, community center and a church.

There also is health service at the disposal of the residents.

In the village there are cement factory, woodworking factory and sausage manufacturer.

Tourism and cultural attractions:

South-east from the village is the river of Maritsa, and South-west is the river of Topolitsa.

There are a number of findings discovered in the lands of the village of Velichkovo. The place of Koriyata is one of the attractions, which is part of Sredna gora and is rich in archeological findings. In the place of Gradishteto silver objects with historical meaning have been discovered, along with other findings.

About 14 km away is the Kalugerovski Monastry of St. Nikola. In the monastery a marble plate has been preserved from roman times. In 1908 the monastery has been rebuilt after the ravages of the Turkish Empire and has been preserved till today.
