Laskarevo is a village situated in South-western Bulgaria. It is part of Sandanski Municipality, Blagoevgrad region.

Laskarevo is 74 km south-east from town of Blagoevgrad, 7 km in the same direction from town of Sandanski, 159 km south from city of Sofia and 22 km north from the Bulgarian-Greek border at village of Kulata.
Regular bus line to town of Sandanski and the neighbouring villages.

The population is approximately 190 people.

Laskarevo spreads out at the western slopes of Pirin Mountain, at 260 m above sea level. The relief is hilly and the climate characterizes with mild winters and hot summers.

Zabardno River passes through here.

The village comprises a town-hall, trade areas and guest houses. There is a hunting group as well. Health services and educational centres are available in the village of Sklave (3 km) and the municipal town of Sandanski (7 km).

The natural conditions are favourable for growing industrial crops, perennial plants (mainly vineyards) and stock-breeding as well.

Landmarks and tourism

There are five well-preserved houses - monuments of culture. They are in Bulgarian-Revival style - Ograzhdensko-malashevska type.

Traditional fair takes place every year on the holiday of St Savior. The local church of St Saviour officiates.

In southern direction from the village were discovered remnants of a settlement from the Ist millennium BC and remnants from the Roman epoch connected with the Ancient city in town of Sandanski.

The tourist may visit the smallest town in Bulgaria - Melnik. The town is famous with its sand pyramids and wine cellars. It is just 14 km away from village of Laskarevo.

Other interesting places to visit are the Rozhen Monastery (5 km away from Melnik) and Rupite land - where the Bulgarian prophecy Baba Vanga used to live.
