Buzyakovtsi is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Ihtiman municipality, Sofia region.
It is 20 km north of the town of Ihtiman, 10 km southeast of the village of Vakarel and 7 km south of the village of Bardo. Adjacent to it is the small village of Dzhamuzovtsi. The capital Sofia is 48 km northwest.
It is situated in mountain area at the foot of Sredna gora mountain and its altitude is about 902 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized by warm summer and cold winter.
The permanent population is about 34 people. The mobile operators have coverage.
The nearest school, kindergarten and GP are working in the neighboring village of Vakarel. Medical center is working in the municipality the town of Ihtiman while specialized hospitals are situated in the capital Sofia.
According to the historical data the village dates back to the 18-th century and there is built a monument of the fallen in the wars.
A few years ago in the village of Buzyakovtsi was finished Orthodox church "St George Pobedonosets" and annually on the 6-th of May is organized festival. Near the holy place there a hundred year old oak tree that is symbol of the village. Here are preserved many old houses and they have the traditional look of the Bulgarian homes.
Just to the neighboring village of Bardo there is small monastery "St Spas" and in it works bio farm.
The area is suitable for the people that enjoy hunting in the hunting seasons there are organized hunting parties and also the proximity to the dams Topolnitsa and Ognyanovo helps the development of the fishing.
