Glavanovtsi is village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Tran municipality. It is situated in Tran municipality, Pernik region.

It is 12 km west of the town of Tran and 58 km northwest of the town of Pernik. The capital Sofia is 87 km southeast.

It is located in mountain region at the foot of Ruy mountain, on the bank of Erma river and its altitude is between 700 and 999 m. The climate is with clearly expressed four seasons - the summer is warm but not hot while the winter is very cold. The spring is cool with lots of precipitation and it comes in the end of March and the beginning of April, the fall is warmer than it.

The permanent population is about 99 people.

The nearest GP, dentist, hospital, kindergarten and school are working in the town of Tran.

Tourism and landmarks

The most interesting natural landmark in the municipality is Erma River Gorge. Near the village of Vrabcha there is eponymous waterfall and it is also nice attraction in the winter when it freezes and forms gorgeous ice forms. Other interesting is Ruy peak.

The people that enjoy fishing can take advantage of the wonderful conditions near Yarlovtsi dam there is catch of carp, rudd and redeye fish.

Cultural tourism can practice if you visit the rock church "St Petka", the Tran monastery etc.
