Village of Dragodanovo

Dragodanovo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Sliven Municipality, Sliven region.
It is about 27 km southeast from the town of Sliven, 15 km northeast from the town of Straldzha, 22 km north from the town of Yambol and 338 km east from the city of Sofia.
Through the village passes railway line Sliven - Zimnitsa. There is also a regular bus transport.
Located in the southern parts of the Eastern Balkan Mountains - at the foot of Grebenets and the peaks Sekirets and Strazhitsa at 135 m altitude. The climate is temperate - continental with Mediterranean influence. It is characterized by cool summer, while winter is short and mild. Autumn is longer than spring.
The population is about 600 inhabitants. The main occupation is the production of grain crops bakery, fruit and vegetables.
Here there is a town hall, community center, shops and boarding school. In the village is situated one of the largest dairies in the area. It has two GPs. The nearest nursery, school and hospital are located in the town of Sliven.
Surroundings and sights
The village has a chapel, and beside him traces of old settlement. There are many votive tablets of the Thracian horseman and coins from the time of Alexander the Macedonian.
