The oldest traces of life in the land of Yerusalimovo are dating back from III-millennium BC. Traces of Thracian settlement were found west of the Hisar area, Yurtya and Ortaborun, but most impressive are the tracks from the period of Roman rule, Late Antiquity and Mediaval Bulgarian ages. Settlement of the village to its present location happened in the early 18th century.

In honor of the 2000th anniversary of the birth of Jesus Christ, in 2000, was built a five-meter metal Christian cross, symbolizing spiritual connection between the village of Yerusalimovo and the holy city of Jerusalem. It is an expression of the desire for spiritual raising and preserving the values of Christianity and a symbol of love and affection between people and nations. The main street is named "Palestine" and there is a fountain built on it, thanks to Palestinian donations.

Around the village there are many places with beautiful stones, which have their own history and represent cultural and historical attractions.
