Yalovo is a village in Veliko Tarnovo municipality, Veliko Tarnovo region.
It is located 16 km southwest of Veliko Tarnovo, 5 km in the same direction of Kilifarevo, 13 km east of Dryanovo and about 230 km northeast of Sofia.
It is situated at an altitude of 450 m. The climate is characterized by mild winters and cool summers.
The population is about 75 people, among whom there are British citizens.
The village has electricity and water supply systems, street lighting, satellite TV and a private collection of trash. It has a town hall, a general store, guest house and renovated church. Nearest kindergarten and school operate on the territory of Kilifarevo. There are hospitals are in Veliko Tarnovo.
Landmarks:
At about 8 km away is situated Kilifarevo Monastery "Virgin Birth." It was founded by Theodosius during 1348 and in 1350 Today, the monastery is one of the most visited in the country and is part of the 100 national tourist sites.
In Kilifarevo tourists can see more:
- Churches "St. Archangel Michael "and" St. Mary "are preserved from XIX century icons
- Library "progress" was founded in 1882, it contains amateur team.
- Historical Museum is located in Saraliev house built in the early XIX century. It includes an exhibition of original material, photographs, diagrams and documents that reveal the economic, political and cultural history of Kilifarevo end of antiquity to the present day.
- Clock Tower is located adjacent to the museum. It was built more than 200 years. Today is a symbol of Kilifarevo.
