Yakovtsi is a village in Elena municipality, Veliko Tarnovo District.
It is situated 5 km away from Elena, 34 km from Veliko Tarnovo, 39 km from Lyaskovetz and 250 km from Sofia. It is set in a hilly area around a small stream.
West of the village is Iovkovtzi Dam which was built on river Vesselina. It is one of the largest dams in the area of Bulgaria. Because of its construction was destroyed village Yovkovtsy hence the name of the dam. Suitable for sports and amateur fishing, hiking and walking.
The village has a town hall, church - St. Trinity Church and community center - "Consciousness".
The village reveals a great view of the mountain, hills around, fields and lake. The region has well-developed rural tourism and provide opportunities for recreation and tourism.
In Yakovtsi there are several guest houses with beautiful views, pools and all necessary amenities.
The village is situated in a good spot, 5 km from the European road E-85.
