Tuchenitsa is a village in North Bulgaria. It is located in Pleven municipality, Pleven region

It is 11 km southeast of the town of Pleven and 173 km northeast of the capital Sofia. The neighboring village of Radishevo is 5 km northwest and the neighboring village of Bohot is 3 km south.

It is situated in valley area and its altitude is 323 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized with hot and dry summer while the winter is cold. During June and February fall lots of precipitation. Hails are common phenomenon to the area. 

Bus transportation connects it to the town of Pleven. There are constructed water and electricity systems. The mobile operators have coverage. 

The permanent population is about 349 people. 

Here are functioning town hall, community center, store and pub. The nearest schools work on the territory of the town of Pleven where you can get specialized medical assistance. 

 

Tourism and landmarks

In the town of Pleven the people that visit Tuchenitsa should go to see one of the most interesting tourist sites - Pleven Epopee 1877, the Regional History Museum, Skobelev park and the house-museum "Tsar Osvoboditel Aleksander II".

The protected area Kaylaka is located next to the town of Pleven and is suburban park. In it there are many walks, alleys, many places for relaxation, restaurants, coffee houses, pools, not finished yet motorway etc. It encompasses the areas of Bohotskata forest and Srebrostrui cottage.
The three dams in its area are favorite place of the people for relaxation, water sports, tourism and fishing. 

Interesting natural landmark that you should go on an excursion to is the canyon of Chernelka river (23 km).
