Village of Sadievo

Sadievo is a village in southeast Bulgaria. It is situated in Nova Zagora Municipality, Sliven region.

There is one more village with the same name in Aytos Municipality, Burgas region.

Sadievo is situated in the middle Upper Thracian Valley, 8 km east from the town of Nova Zagora at the road towards Sliven, 31 km west from the district city, 137 km west from the nearest port and airport in the city of Burgas and 269 km east from the capital city Sofia.

There is a regular bus transport to Sadievo.

It is situated at 151 m altitude, permanent population is about 913 inhabitants.
Climate is temperate continental. winter is mild and dry, summer is moderately hot. During the spring and autumn there are considerable amounts of rainfalls.

The village is well developed with good road network. It is entirely water and electricity supplied, with telephone lines. There is coverage of all mobile operators.

In Sadievo there is a church, town hall, community center, elementary school and kindergarten. Medical care is covered by a general practitioner. The nearest general hospital in the town of Nova Zagora.

Cultural and natural attractions

In the lands of the village several mounds were found. With a special significance is Zlata mogila, located north of Sadievo - in which was discovered burial of a Thracian nobleman. There are also two fully preserved Thracian chariots, buried along with 8 other elite horses and sacrificial animals.

About 23 km north of the village is the third largest dam in Bulgaria - Zhrebchevo which has many places with comfortable fishing seats.
