Stoletovo

Stoletovo is a village in Southern Bulgaria, part of Municipality Karlovo, District of Plovdiv.

It stands about 77 km north-west of the town of Plovdiv, and about 18 km west of the town of Karlovo.

The population in the village is about 800 residents.

The relief is flat and hilly, with average altitude of 456 m.

The climate is continental, with mild winters and average warm summers.

The village infrastructure includes partially asphalted and lighted streets, full electrification, water supply system, and partial sewerage, coverage of mobile operators, telephone lines and cable TV.

European route E 871 passes through the village.

Regular bus lines link Stoletovo with Karlovo.

The residents have a town house, post office, community center and church at their disposal, as well as shops and restaurants.

Attractions

Stryama River runs close to Stoletovo. In the summers it’s a cool, peaceful place for walks, relaxation and fishing.

About 10 km away is the village of Anevo, where the fortress Anevsko gradishte and the place Asarlaka are located, as well as a nunnery built in 1665.
