Ostritsa is a village in Northern Bulgaria. It is part of Dve mogili Municipality, Ruse Region.
There is another village in Bulgaria with the same name, in Chepelare Municipality, Smolyan Region.
It is 47 km south from the centre of Ruse, 13 km south-east from town of Dve mogili, 187 km north-west from town of Varna, and 283 km north-east from city of Sofia. Regular bus transportation serves the village.
The population is approximately 310 people.
Ostritsa is set in the valley of Cherni lom River, in the eastern part of the Danube plain, at 94 m above the sea level. The village is set in plain area, surrounded by high rocks. Dry, hot summers and cold winters.
Ostritsa is well-developed village, provided with electricity, water and communication equipment. There is a town-hall, a post office, a community centre with a library, an orthodox church and various commercial areas. The nearest operational school, kindergarten and health services are in the municipal centre - Dve mogili.
