Ovcharovo is a village in north-eastern Bulgaria, part of Dobrichka municipality, Dobrich region. It is located 12 km away from the town of Dobrich, 70 km away from the city of Varna and 35 km away from the town of Balchik and the sea-coast. The population numbers to approximately 600 people. The altitude is 260 m. The country is predominantly flat. The climate is sunny and hot, the winter is snowy.
The village benefits from an excellent infrastructure - regular electricity and water-supply, roads in a good condition. In the village there is: a secondary school, a kindergarten, a community center with a library, an agricultural airport, a doctor's office, a mayor's office, a post-office, food shops, a cafe, a tavern, a park, a football field where games from C-division of Bulgaria are being carried out. Until 2005 there was a filter factory in the village which does no longer function. Regular public transportation is available to the town of Dobrich and the nearby villages. Ovcharovo is a very green village. The green areas are landscaped and well maintained. The village is quiet and peaceful. One of its main assets is its proximity to the regional center of Dobrich.
The local inhabitants are engaged into farming, stock-breeding and grain production. Grown in the area are the following crops - wheat, barley, maize, sunflower and rapeseed.
