Negovan is a village part of Novi Iskar region, the Capital Municipality, Sofia district.
It neighbours on the north by the Balkan Mountains /Sofia Mountain/, on the east Vakarelska Mountain and on the south Lozenska, Viskyar, Vitosha and Lyulin Mountains. The mountains are about 1000 - 1700 m above sea level.
Stari Iskar River /Lesnovska River/ passes on the south of the village. It is a tributary of Iskar River in village of Kubratovo. The village passes the 'under Balkan' railway line. On the west village of Svetovrachene is just 1.5 km away. Village of Chepinitsi is just 1 km away.
The 'Five Mounds' is announced as 'Architectural monument of culture - mound necropolis'. it is only 2 km away on the south from Negovan. It comprises seven Thracian funeral mounds.
The village is in the region of the migratory bird road of Via Aristotle.
Negovan benefits mainly from agricultural activities - stock-breeding, hey production, vegetable growing and granary.
The village comprises a mayor hall, a community centre and a monument for the dead Negovan soldiers.
