Lomnitsa is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Tran municipality, Pernik region.

In Bulgaria there are two other settlements that are with the same name in Dobrich municipality - village municipality, Dobrich region and in Kyustendil municipality, Kyustendil region.

It is 6 km northeast of the town of Tran and 52 km in the same direction from the town of Pernik. The capital Sofia is 77 km southeast. Just a few hundred meters from the houses in located the border with Serbia.

It is situated in mountain region near the flow of small river at the foot of Rui mountain, and its altitude is about 856 m. The climate is with clearly expressed four seasons - there are warm but not hot summer while the winter is severe. The spring is cool and with lots of precipitation and ends in the end of March the beginning of April and the fall is also warm. 

The permanent population is about 50 people.

The nearest GPs, dentists, hospital, kindergarten and school work in the town of Tran.

Just to the village is situated the gorge of Erma river. The landscape is very picturesque as the river has formed impressive canyon. There is constructed eco trail which allows the tourists to take long walks. It passes trough small bridge above the river. Over it there is steep rocks to be climbed and passing through a tunnel to the Serbian village of Petachintsi. After it in the left there is descent that again leads to small bridge that gives beautiful view.

Other landmarks that can be seen in the area are Rui peak, the rock church "St Petka", the Tran monastery and the Vrabcha waterfall.
