Kashin is a village in North Bulgaria. It is located in Pleven municipality, Pleven region.

It is 6 km southwest of the town of Pleven and 167 km northeast of the capital Sofia. The village of Brestovets is 10 km southeast and the village of Gortalovo is 17 km south.

It is located in plain and hilly area and its altitude is 242 m. The climate is temperate and is characterized with hot and dry summer while the winter is cold. During June and February fall lots of precipitation. Hails are common phenomenon to the area.

Regular bus transportation connects it to the town of Pleven. There are constructed water and electricity systems. The mobile operators have coverage.

The permanent population is about 320 people.

In Kashin are functioning mayor's vice royalty, community center, store and restaurant. The nearest schools and hospitals are on the territory of the town of Pleven.

Martvata voda dam is suitable for fishing and it is near Pleven.

Natural landmark that is a must see in the area is the canyon of Chernelka river. Village of Gortalovo is starting point of eco trail constructed on its way. Here the tourists can see many of the caves in the area Kapchuka cave is one of them, there are also remains of ancient fortress in Gradishteto area, Roman roads, interesting rock formations.

In the town of Pleven you can visit three of the 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria - Pleven Epopee 1877, the Regional History museum and the mausoleum-chapel "St George Pobedonosets". Other interesting places in proximity are Kaylaka park and the Wine Museum.
