Kamen is a village in the municipality of Strazhitsa, Veliko Tarnovo region.
In Bulgaria there are another two villages, bearing the same name - in Dobrich region and Sliven district.
The village is located 50 km north-east of Veliko Tarnovo, 17 km north of Strazhitsa, about 32 km east of Polski Trambesh, about 35 km south of Dolna Oryahovitsa and about 38 km from Gorna Oryahovitsa, 24 km west of Popovo.
Kamen is the largest village in the municipality of Strazhitsa. Its population numbers about 1600 people.
The village is well developed, most of the streets are paved, fully electrified and supplied with water. There are shops, church, restaurants, cafes, wine, community center, town hall, gas station. There are two points for pre-medical care and dental surgery.
In Kamen has a primary school, Vocational School of Agriculture and a kindergarten.
The village benefits with well developed viticulture and the wines produced here are famous across the country. A few years ago was built dairy farm where dairy products are processed.
Church of St. George the Conqueror which was constructed in 1809
Petrovski Fair: it is held annually in July in memory of Russian soldiers who died during the Liberation War / 1877-1878, / in fighting near the village.
There is a dam lake near by which offers good opportunities for fishing. Around it are to be built holiday village with sports courts, pool and other amenities
The art gallery in town of Strazhitsa: it has seven rooms and a large collection of works, sculptures and graphics.
Mineral baths, the town of Polski Trambesh: water there is renowned for its healing properties.
There is regular bus transport to and from town Strazhitsa, there is a railway station in Strazhitsa which provides transport links with the country.
Kamen is situated on the road Veliko Tarnovo-Popovo.
