Kazichene is a village in Western Bulgaria. It is located in the Capital Municipality, Sofia district.
Kazichene is set in eastern direction from Sofia city, near the right bank of the old bed of Iskar River. An old Roman military road called 'Troyano' and the road leading to town of Samokov meet there. Kazichene is 15 km away from Sofia city, 18 km away from town of Elin Pelin and 43 km away from town of Pernik.
The settlement of Kazichene is part of Sofia valley and is closer to the north slopes of Lozenska Mountain.
Industrial zone was formed in the area after the year of 2000. Chipita Enterprises and many other companies are located there. Advantages of the village are the railway station and the proximity to Sofia Ring Road. The village is between two main boulevards - Tsarigradsko shosse and Botevgradsko shosse.
The permanent residents of the village are about 4900. They are constantly rising because of the big interest in purchasing lands for single-family house construction.
Kazichene comprises many mineral springs which are with big capacities. In the past years they were used for the heating of the greenhouses.
'Tsarskata spirka' (The King's Station) is near the railway station, between the rails. This is the place where King Boris III used to start his travelling with his private locomotive.
There is a municipality hall, a police station, a post office, a medical centre, two schools, a community centre, a kindergarten and a stadium.
Bus lines № 8 and 14 connect the village with Sofia city. Botevgradsko shosse and Tsarigradsko shosse make the transportation easier and faster.
