Izgrev is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Sliven Municipality, Sliven region.

In Bulgaria there are seven villages with the same name - Elhovo municipality, Yambol region, Blagoevgrad municipality, Blagoevgrad region, Tsarevo municipality, Burgas region, municipality Suvorovo, Varna region, Levski municipality, Pleven region, Nedelino Municipality, Smolyan region, Venice Municipality, Shumen region.

It is about 25 km southeast from the town of Elena, 44 km west from the town of Kotel, 46 km northwest from the town of Sliven, 287 km northeast from the city of Sofia.
Izgrev has a regular bus service to the town of Sliven.

The village is in a mountainous area, the altitude ranges from 500 to 550 m. The climate is temperate-continental. Characterized by long winters and cool summers.

The permanent population is about 110. The main occupation is farming.

Izgrev has stores and a cafe. There is cable TV, Internet and coverage of all mobile operators. Nearest schools and hospitals are located in the town of Elena.

Tourism and landmarks

The village is located in an area with a rich history and many cultural and historical sites.

In the town of Kotel is situated the Natural History Museum, it is one of the largest in Bulgaria. The History museum has three exhibitions in the city.

In the town of Sliven interesting are the following sites:
- Museum of History, where there is a permanent exhibition of masterpieces of Bulgarian art in the Renaissance.
- Ethnographic Museum is housed in a XIX century building with very interesting architecture.
- House of Hadzhi Dimitar - a complex of several buildings restored during different time periods.
- The historic elm, which is approximately 600 years old, growing up in the city center.
- Area Karandila is located in the northeast part of Sliven. There is situated the National Park "Blue Rocks" with an area of 11,380 hectares, which has many interesting rock formations.
