Izvor is a village in West Bulgaria. It is situated in Radomir municipality, Pernik region.

In Bulgaria there are four other settlements with that name - in Dimovo municipality, Vidin region, in Slivnitsa municipality, Sofia region, in Rhodopi municipality, Plovdiv region and in Burgas municipality, Burgas region.

The village is situated 14 km southwest of Radomir, 28 km southwest of Pernik. Sofia is situated 55 km northeast of it. The neighboring villages are Klenovik (2 km east), Debeli lag (4 km west) and Uglyartsi (8 km south).

Izvor is located in Radomir hollow at the foot of Konyavskata mountain and its altitude is 765 m.

The climate is characterized by cool summer and very cold winter. The spring comes late and the fall is warmer than the spring. Mists fall often.

There is regular bus transportation - all buses that go to Kyustendil stop at the turnout for the village, there are bus lines twice a day. Built-up electricity and water installations. Mobile phone coverage, cable TV.

There are primary school, medical center, town hall, dentist, community center, post office, church, grocery stores, clothing stores, cafeterias, sweet shop and disco. The nearest hospital and kindergarten are in Radomir.

Tourism and landmarks

In proximity to the village are situated Izvor dam and Kosmatitsa river. In the area there is another dam - Pchelina that offers perfect conditions for fishing and water sports.
From the village there is magnificent view to Kolosh mountain which you can visit and also stay at cabins Momin kladenets (4 km) and Vedrets (12 km).

Local landmarks are St. Peter and st. Pavel monastery, Gradishte area, Gradiste cave, the wells in the Varteshkite, Vlashki and Izvorieto areas, the natural landmark Yankovets
