Zgalevo is a village in North Bulgaria. It is situated in Pordim municipality, Pleven region.

It is 4 km west of the town of Pordim and 16 km southeast of the town of Pleven. The capital Sofia is 187 km southwest.

It is situated in the Danubian Plain and its altitude is 165 m. The climate is temperate and considerably dry. The winter is severe while the spring is warm and the summer is extremely hot.

The permanent population is about 641 people.

Zgalevo is well maintained village - bus and railway transporation connect it to the other settlements. The main streets are asphalted and there is lightning. There are constructed electricity and water installations. The mobile operators have coverage.

Here are functioning town hall, post office, community center, kindergarten, store and restaurant. One GP takes care for the people in the village while the nearest hospital is located in the regional center Pleven. In Pordim are working schools. In Zgalevo there is center for disabled children.

The church "St Paraskeva" is constructed in 1870 and the icons in it are made by Romanian master.

In the town of Pleven you can visit three of the 100 Tourist Sites of Bulgaria - Pleven Epopee 1877, the Regional History museum and the mausoleum-chapel "St George Pobedonosets". Other interesting places in proximity are Kaylaka park and the Wine Museum.
