Village of Dyadovo

Dyadovo is a village in southeastern Bulgaria. It is located in Nova Zagora Municipality, Sliven region.

Situated 7 km south from the town of Nova Zagora, 46 km southwest from the town of Sliven, some 50 km east from the town of Stara Zagora and 266 km southeast from the city of Sofia.

The village is situated on both sides of the road Nova Zagora - Radnevo. Bus transport connects it with neighboring towns.

Located at the foot of Svetiliyskite hills, at 160 m altitude. Its territory falls within the temperate-continental climate zone. Winter is mild and dry, summer is relatively hot. Spring and autumn are rainy.

The permanent population is about 470 inhabitants. Livelihood of the people is agriculture, livestock and growing vines. In the village operate two quarries for aggregates and asphalt.

The village has a town hall, kindergarten, community center, church, three stores and a cafe. There is coverage of mobile operators, Internet and cable TV. Here works a General Practitioner. Nearest school and hospital are located in Nova Zagora.

 
SIGHTS AND ATTRACTIONS

In the village, near a spring Mound is located Dyadovski mound. It is the largest in Europe. 18 meters high. Here mainly prehistoric times are preserved - Stone Age, Bronze Age. Inhabited during the early Iron Age. During the Early Byzantine period on the mound there was a small fortified village with well preserved wall with towers which defended it.

Mound Karanovo / 16 km /. Here you can find well-preserved foundations of homes with extensive home inventory and tools made of stone, flint, bone, horn of deer and honey and others. Of particular interest are the discovered clay tablets with symbols, which some scientists say are the oldest known written symbols in Europe.

Guests of the village can enjoy a rich history, heritage and natural beauty of Sliven: Historical MuseumEthnographic Museum, church "St. Dimitar ".
The area "Karandila" located in the northeast part of Sliven, among old-growth forests. There is situated the Nature Park "Sinite kamani".
