Dimitrievo is a village in South Bulgaria. It is located in Chirpan municipality, Stara Zagora region.
The village is situated around 26 km east from the municipal center the town of Chirpan, around 31 km southwest from the regional town Stara Zagora and 222 km southeast from the capital Sofia.
Dimitrievo has an altitude of 129 m. Summer is characterized by great heat, and winter is relatively severe. The terrain is flat. A small river which sometimes dries up in summer runs along the village.
Soil and climate conditions are extremely favorable for cultivation of grain and sunflower crops. In recent years, the land of the village is mainly planted with rapeseed used in production of biodiesel.
The village is well developed - asphalted streets, mobile operators coverage. A town hall and a community center function in the village. Medical service is held by one general practicing doctor. The closest education and health institutions are placed in the town of Chirpan.
One of the most interesting sights in the region is the monastery "St. Atanasii" in the village of Zlatna livada - one of the biggest Bulgarian monasteries, and according to the latest research one of the most ancient in Europe.
There is a mineral water source and a swimming pool full of healing water located in the near town of Merichleri.
